Thanks for posting this. During World War One all the fighter aircraft had substantial airframe components made from stressed plywood. Spads, Camels, even those dirty little Fokkers! And they sure weren’t short on power or flown in gentile strait and level. Perhaps carbon fibre and billet aluminium IS overthinking it! Though I couldn’t go along with the dayglo Lycra outfit
