I’ve assembled and disassembled my Hoop 4 times since owning and have broken at least one arm on half of my hoop connectors in the process. The break happens on the “wings” of the “T”. The connector doesn’t fall apart due to the screw running through the center that sandwiches the segments together. Is it safe to operate in this fashion? Has anyone else had this issue?
From my experience, they’re brittle, and the screws are a little too thin (at least on the one I received last year) - not sure if this has been updated since the early V2 hoop design.
I have redesigned and reinforced the connectors, printing them with a strong material that flexes a little more to dampen the bending forces. Reach out if you would like a set or two.
