Hello,
today I found out that after charging my battery that the charger still has some electricity left once unplugged both on AC and DC sides. Not sure if I were lucky and/or the current was low enough, but the shock buzzed me quite a bit this time when I touched the metal part of the AC plug.
The button on the back on the charger was on the “Off” position, and the battery was unplugged.
So my guess is that I will have to try in the future not to touch the plug contacts once out of the wall socket (not sure if it is safe to leave it plugged). Next time I will charge my battery I will try as well to switch back the charger to the “ON” once the battery unplugged.
I’ve noticed that the chargers will keep powered for a short while after I’ve unplugged both the battery and the power cord. Not long – Maybe 15-20 seconds or so, but I figured there are some caps in there with some juice remaining, at least for a bit.
I always wait a few seconds to hear a click and then a second click on my chargers (I have two of them). They both act the same way. Usually 5,6,7 seconds wait will trigger the sound(s).
I added a wall switch to plug the charger into. I find it easier to turn the power ON/OFF to the charger which I leave plugged into the safety switch plugged into the wall socket.
