For years I’ve been watching OpenPPG evolution, always wanting to be part of it.
What has refrained me is the amount of money dedicated to hardware only used for PPG, and the necessity to have a mean of transportation once on the ground.
So in a corner of my head, I’ve always wanted to put a PPG on a bicycle (like some showcased on the internet), but I feel it’s quite bulky and not practical given the capacities of a normal bicycle.
Nevertheless, PPG+bikes looks to me like it would be the best of both worlds united.
However with the recent advent of longtail bikes equipped with 2kWh+ batteries, I could clearly see a way to both carry all PPG hardware on the tail of the bike, while sharing the same battery for in-flight and ground trips.
Do you guys have any on-going project or will to go in that direction ?
