Portable universal charger - Cycle Satiator

I just got a universal charger for my ebikes, onewheel, efoil, and also the SP140.

Compared to the charger that came with the battery, it offers quite a few benefits:

  • smaller, more portable
  • completely silent, no active cooling
  • lower/customizable power draw so you can charge from car inverters and smaller power banks
  • customizable target SOC (e.g. charge only to 85% which is more gentle on the battery if you’re not planning a long flight)
  • built-in and custom profiles for different batteries
  • one charger for many/all devices, with simple adapters
  • faster than most ebike chargers
  • works with 110/220V AC

Of course it is slower than the factory charger but for me it offers a great alternative. More details at Finally, the universal charger! – blog.ekus.net

Great info - looking at putting together something similar for my SP140/3.8kWh and my SurRon. What’s the box in between the charger and the battery in your setup? Just something for monitoring, and not necessary, right?

correct, a power meter and a resettable fuse/switch, only used for testing, not for routine charging

Great find! I haven’t seen this one before, I hope someone can test it and publish the findings
