Partially collapsable SP140 frame using S&S Coupling

My brother had his bike chopped in half and a couple of these installed for easier travel: S&S Coupling — TI CYCLES FABRICATION

Has anybody done this for the SP140 or paramotors in general? The lower part of the frame right below the battery rest crossbar seems like it would be an ideal spot to detach because there would be no load during flight and would shave off about 17” from total height.

Thoughts?

I believe it was mentioned that batch 3 was going to have the ability to detach the lower half of the frame for a more compact shipping package. I believe this is being done to cut Openppg shipping and handling costs.
