PAP Tinox frame

Is there some way to fit the PAP Tinox frame to the openPPG without major surgery? Seems to be a very nice setup:

Would be nice. My first motor was a PAP setup and it’s still my favorite frame by far if you are required to disassemble your rig for travel often. 1 minute setup. Only downfall is having to carry larger frame pieces around, but it was worth it imho.

Would the cage be large enough for 140 cm prop?

I know this is a old thread but maybe someone has come up with a solution now.

I was thinking some sort of adapter plate.

The PAP frame is very good for fast assembly disassembly if one use a regular car. And it has a very well fitted mini trike for those of us that wants a trike capability.

Yes it does fit 140cm prop.

I recently moved from a van to a normal car and thus needed to start assembling and disassembling the frame. It’s a real pain in the ass. The hoop parts and the netting are always a tangled mess.

That PAP system looks ideal and I have had several of their paramotors in the past. Perhaps an idea for the next frame? I don’t mind a bit more weight and/or drag if I can escape playing with that messy fishnet.

Or has someone modified their frame to make the process easier? How do you normally pack / unpack the thing? Talking about 2.0 frame here.

I pack it to the car like this. Spars pack with the prop inside a towel. Have small zipties holding the netting in the hoops sections. Obvious risk of forgetting or losing connectors or spars to the field.

The SP140 frame does break down to the smallest size of any frame for travel, but part of that trade-off is that the parts are smaller—and the same goes for the hoop. So, there just ends up being more parts, which definitely leaves something to be desired for quick assembly.

I think a big improvement for quicker assembly would be a system that forces the net rods to stay inside the hoop sections. This is what I’ve come up with below. It’s low-profile and can be locked in place with a bolt, so if you need to replace the netting, it’s still very easy to do.

So I think this is a good mod for those who need to break down their frame every time they go flying. Its just a simple part and can fix the net rods in place during disassembly. I’ll be adding the files here shortly, and with a little video.

Yes, I basically locked the net rods inside the hoop sections with small zip ties. Not as elegant but the result is the same. With this frame design (which aims for minimum packed size as you said) there is not much one a can do. Long term I hope to find another solution altogether.
