Not a SP140 but electric anyways

That day I decided to fly electric but not with my SP140😆

Two years ago I was thinking of a towing device. I found your videos and the ideea of self towing looked amazing :exploding_head: until I saw your SP140 videos :scream: and that was it for the towing. :sweat_smile:

Haven’t you tried the tow on grass fields or where you can catch a thermo and go for the clouds?

At the sea it seems little gain for the effort since you can’t gain altitude, just gliding down so fast.

:laughing::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::rofl:

Grassy fields and thermaling: Totally possible. Have done it. Beach towing for the students is all they need for their initial flights to get the feel for floating around and turning. Another different electric winch I designed at the time. You can see my student in thermals😀 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA4mozX88to

Yes it is possible, ask those in UK :grin: but yes green absorbs, so concrete “fields” then :face_with_tongue:

For teaching it works at the sea too..

Strong thermals and dust devils(:rofl:) or flying midday over areas where the sod (grass) was cut, exposing the soil which would act as concrete does and send you ballistic skywards:laughing:
