Does anybody know when the new battery will be in stock?

Is this a new type of battery or just the same battery technology in a different KWh size and weight?

Yeah we’re working with our suppliers to restock asap but the last shipment sold out faster than anticipated. Y’all love your SP140s and we’re trying to keep up. If you do want to make sure you can get one feel free to backorder to save your spot.
Btw in the meantime, we are redoing the website to have more transparency for restock times. Stay tuned, and thanks for the patience.

New 4.8kwh battery overview/flight time There’s already a bunch of threads on it. You can see here, I’m going to talk about it, but as far as versus the older battery pack from like a year ago: higher cycle count, higher energy density, a smaller volume, and then a bunch of smart stuff like the CAN bus communication with the rest of the system.

Could we know which cells are used in those packs?
I think it would help (at least me) to build trust in having a 5kWh battery strapped to our back while high in the air.
