I broke the frame inserts and i tried placing a screw in and pulling to no avail. I heated the tube with a torch and still no luck. Any ideas are welcome. Also, If any of yinz are 3d printing experts, do you think i could replace these with petg
Be careful with heat as 6061 is easy to anneal, and you don’t want to do that. It is far better to drill and tap than to use a self tapping screw so you don’t expand the plug. If it won’t pull out, then use a length of threaded rod or a long bolt with a hollow weight that slides so you can use it like a slide hammer.

Still no luck, it doesnt want to budge. Might have to just take my time and remove it in pieces. Was hoping to fly tonight.

Drill it out. I have seen copper pipe used in its place.
I’ve used PETG to print modified cage connectors, I’d print the cylinder laying down to keep layer lines running the long way and print at 100% infill.

I had to drill mine out. They welded themselves in there pretty well.
I use wooden dowels now. I still wanted something that would give first before the frame itself in case of a rough landing, etc.

Go the opposite direction and use a tube that slides over the the two frame tubes and rivet them together
Thanks everyone. Drilling a bunch of holes worked, but drilling progressively larger ones in the center eventually let me get thin needle nose pliers wedged in. I got the other two halves to spin out clean.
