When fitting a side reserve does this shoulder strap get in the way or does it need to be routed a different way?

I have never seen that strap in that place, I guess something must be wrong with your harness setup?

Strange! Is that for V2 only or also V2.5?

Its from the V2 video but same for 2.5, mine is 2.5. How do you have this strap connected?

I agree, I see the issue now. Mine is still not completely setup and I am actually thinking about using a front container instead of the side one.

I think there are the following points for/against a front container:

  • +can be reached with both hands

  • +can mount a device to it like a cockpit

  • -mounted to the main carabiners, so a carabiner fault is a no-go - but if you don’t use Aliexpress carabiners for 250 years you should be fine

  • -clipping in to the harness requires more steps, as you also need to clip at least one side of the reserve

The strap is an anti-torque strap and is totally optional. I never use those straps so I’ve never had that issue with my side reserve. If you choose to use it, the bridle goes over the strap, just like it goes over the distance bars.
