I just released v7.4 for the latest controllers (based on ESP32). Nothing groundbreaking, but we’ve been chipping away at some of the fundamentals like throttle feel, cruise behavior, and automated testing. Figured we’d share what we’ve been working on:
-
Smoother throttle response in Chill mode
We improved how Chill mode uses your throttle travel, so control feels more natural and usable across the range. Should feel more natural when you want gradual, controlled power. -
Cruise/throttle behavior is more consistent
We tightened up throttle and cruise handling so transitions feel cleaner and more dependable in normal use. -
Better Bluetooth stability and telemetry flow
We made significant Bluetooth improvements to how data is sent and updated behind the scenes. This will be important for streaming data to the upcoming smartphone app. More to come on the Bluetooth side in future firmware (hint: wireless updates)
Looking ahead
Mobile app is making progress internally, and the Bluetooth work in v7.4 is an important step toward that experience. We’re excited to show off the improved flying experience in a video soon.
