Does anyone know what the volume of the s/m reserve container is for the
Dudek Comfort harness low?
On the site, openppg, it only lists the dimensions not the volume.
4 × 10 × 2 inches = 80 cubic inches = 10.16 x 25.4 x 5.08 cm = 1,311 cm 3 = 1.311 L which is extremely small.
What is the largest reserve that would fit the s/m pouch. 120/160?
Thanks
Thanks for the reply Allex! The vendor I’m buying from is asking for the volume of the container so they can sell me the correct size reserve. Thanks for the information I can use it for comparison. I appreciate it.
I don’t think a 220 reserve will fit very well. Typically, the side pouch is designed for 120 and 140 size reserves, whereas a 220 is usually intended for tandem setups. Most foot-launch pilots I know are using reserves in the 120 or 140 sizes.
I am 270lbs plus gear and the SP140 setup… I was worried 140 would allow too much decent speed.
Would it be better to get a larger reserve from a different vendor than to include it in my OpenPPG order?
It’s just that the side pocket pouch I don’t think would fit the 220 reserve very well. So what I would do is get a front mount pouch, or kind of a lap mount pouch. Open PPG doesn’t sell any of the lap mount containers, but I know there are some available elsewhere. But you can still order the 220 reserve from Open PPG.
For reserves that are out of stock, typically upon order they’re around 35 days to shipping. As the 220 reserve is not as popular, that is typically not stocked unlike the more common sizes.
