You mentioned Silicone spray, where is that you should apply it exactly?
i use a simple silicon spray like the ones used to care for the interior of plastic and paneling in cars. simply spray lightly over the surfaces of the entire harness and wipe over with a microfiber cloth. it looks like new and you slide in and out easily.
