Does anyone know if Donut Lab solid-state batteries will be available in the near future? Supposedly they are already in production, they charge in 5 minutes, with lower weight and higher capacity.

Might watch this, he seems to think this is a capacitor, not a battery. PHD Researcher and Youtuber Ziroth investigates Donut Labs claims towards its solid state battery tech unveiled at CES 2026 : r/electricvehicles
Don’t fall for BS claims.
Charging in 5 minutes would mean you need 12C (12 times the capacity) as charging power. So, for a 5kWh battery, you’d need a 60kW charger.
Maybe if you land at a Tesla Supercharger ![]()

Doesn’t have to charge quickly, as long as the energy density is there, which seems highly doubtful.
This is the best investigative video I’ve seen yet on Donutlab. It could possibly be legit. This is a product that would forever change the world if it is. https://youtu.be/RbGxbII44eE?si=o3NqhP4wYx90E64I
