I am not suggesting you doing the same but only showing you what I did for my gear. The original battery straps were driving me nuts for catching the frame each time I was trying remove the box, so I implemented a different system by using thick paraglider lines able to sustain the weight of the 1/2 hour battery. I have no idea if they would hold the one hour battery - I only use the 2Kwh. Made a square knot - used a small piece of shrink tubing to keep it all clean and “Voilà!”. Now the battery moves in and out like a breeze😃

Went for a flight today and used it. The battery didn’t drop on my toes - there is hope! I had to push the outside sleeve about 1" pass the Dyneema before burning the tip to make it pointy and flat in order to push it through the very narrow slot.
